Moderately priced dim sum with the gorgeous Victoria Harbour view.
Nice atmosphere with menu available on the table and food is made upon your order. So it's not a typical "noisy" dim sum place where waitresses walkaround filled with hot-steam buns and ask you what to order.
Dim Sum In The Cage @ Serenade (Baked Pastry on top, Steamed Dim Sum underneath) |
12.00 – 13.00 Star Ferry to Wan Chai, Novotel check-in

Hotel Novotel Hong Kong Century
- The Wan Chai Star Ferry terminal is a walking distance to the hotel. OR quickest way: take a cab & the fare in HK is considerably cheaper compare to Australia or Japan.
- Very convenient location, close to Wan Chai MTR, HK convention & exhibition centre, Airport Transfer Bus stop is right in front of the hotel (you can sit in the lobby while waiting for the next bus) and if you have time, walk to Hennessy Road and try to catch the double-decker tram (HK$2 can get you far).
- "Mac Corner" & free wireless internet is available at the lobby. So you pretty much don't need a laptop.

13.30 – 18.00 Time Square, Causeway Bay
- Walk from hotel to the biggest shopping mall in Hong Kong, Harbour City (海港城). Ensure you walk pass the Haiphong Rd, there are a lot of 2nd hand stores and street food for small bites.
18.15-19.45 Dinner @ Kwan Kee Claypot Rice
Location: Shop 1, Wo Yick Mansion, 263 Queen's Road West, Western District Hong Kong.
- Cheapest way to go by by Tram and the nearest Tram Station is Dos Voeux Road West (Queen Street)
- This place has the best claypot rice that we have tried so far. As soon as you got a table, the waitress will hassle you to order any claypot rice as it took over 45 minutes for our 2 claypot rice to appear on the table. So we ordered one with pork ribs, chinese pork sausages, chilli and mushrooms and another with chicken, salted fish and mushroom.
When dishes came out, they smell and taste so delicious that you won't stop eating especially after a long wait and empty stomach. I recommend that you go with the pork and you also can custom made the toppings.
