Hong Kong 3 Days Itinerary (Day 1)

Day 1 FRI (22/4) Public Holiday - MIRA Hotel, Kowloon

Month of visit (season): April 2011 (Spring)
Temperature: warm & humid, 24 degrees celcius & no rain
Special event: Easter Holiday.
 
11.20 Arrive in HKIA
11.30 – 12.30 HK immigration clearance & luggage claim
The queue can be quite long with only 2-3 officers helping in each line. Therefore:
-Pay attention to the queue sign "Foreigners" or "Residents" to avoid having to re-queue.
-Ensure you've filled in the immigration entry forms & passport ready.

12.30 – 12.45 Purchase MTR Airport Express ticket
If you are travelling with friends or family, it could be cheaper to buy a group ticket, available in 2,3,4...
Travel time for HKIA - Kowloon Station: 20 mins, $90 one-way ticket.

12.45 - 13.15 Reach Kowloon Station and catch shuttle bus no. K4 to Mira Hotel
Free shuttle to hotel every 12mins.

13.15 – 14.30 Reach Mira hotel and check in
- Hotel itself is the highlight of the day. Well designed contemporary interior, nice-cheerful-helpful customer service.
- Convenient location, very close to the shopping area (Nathan Road, Haiphong Road) and MTR TST.
- Hotel room is facilitated with high tech equipments: Sony Vaio Computer with wireless keyboard, universal remote control, BOSE speakers and free wireless internet. I can stay, sit back and relax in the hotel room all day.
- Very nice working environment, especially for business traveller.

14.30 – 19.30 Harbour City (Canton Rd)
- Walk from hotel to the biggest shopping mall in Hong Kong, Harbour City (海港城). Ensure you walk pass the Haiphong Rd, there are a lot of 2nd hand stores and street food for small bites.
- It's one of the best area in HK to shop for branded stuffs.

19.30-21.00 Symphony of light (Avenue of Star)
- Nightly @ 8pm for about 30 mins. 
- Vantage Points: Along the Tsim Sha Tsui waterfront between the Avenue of Stars and the Hong Kong Cultural Centre OR the waterfront promenade outside the Golden Bauhinia Square in Wan Chai.
- MTR East Tsim Sha Tsui Station Exit J, and follow the signs to the Avenue of Stars and Tsim Sha Tsui waterfront.

21.30-22.00 Dinner at Mongkok (Modern Toilet), night market (optional)
Modern Toilet address: 3B, MPM, 240-244 Portland St. 
Very quirky modern restaurant. Decorated with all the toilet equipment. Mind you it could be yucky for some people.
